Job Description

Scope:
The Medical Logistics Manager is responsible for the logistical planning, oversight, and operational
performance of the overall and/or mission-specific operations for the Humanitarian Services Business
Unit and its residential programs and projects to include the establishment and monitoring of logistics
operations. This position is responsible for ensuring contractual logistical requirements and client
expectations are met at each on-site residential facility and emergency response support project. The
Medical Logistics Manager will lead the procurement, distribution and life cycle management of all
required medical supplies for the Humanitarian Services Business Unit.

All services shall be provided in accordance with established standards, principles and ethics of the
profession, applicable professional specialty organizations, and the high-quality standard for which
CHS/Caliburn is recognized.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead procurement, distribution and life cycle management of all required medical supplies.
Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle and document all transactions in a timely and
appropriate fashion.
Receive and manage inventory and disseminate as appropriate.
Provide daily reports of materials management initiatives.
Administer purchase orders and other transactions from requisition development to completion.
Respects and maintains the confidentiality of all patient, physician, and hospital related information.
Cooperate and communicate in an effective, professional manner with supervisor, management, peers,
general staff, physicians, other personnel.
Inventory, deliver, and replenish areas to the established par level.
Prepare shipping documents (i.e. invoices, purchase orders and bills of lading).
Responsible for handling communication within the supply chain.
Maintain updated records of orders, suppliers and customers.
Ability to work both independently and to work positively within a team environment maintaining
professionalism.
Demonstrate punctuality, reliability and dependability in daily attendance.
Excellent strong interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills.
Skilled at completing multiple tasks simultaneously, ability to adapt to changes in workloads demands
and meet strict deadlines.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Business Administration.
Experience in Logistics or Supply Chain, with at least 3 years of recent experience in medical logistics for
a hospital, including purchasing, computerized inventory and distribution systems.
Proficiency with computer and common office equipment, as well as with MS Office products required.
Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, organized, and demonstrate excellent oral and written
communication skills.
Location of services may at times be in remote, austere or challenging environments.
Must be able to perform duties in a stressful and high paced environment without physical limitations.
Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements to include potential shift changes

based on operational needs and/or command priorities.
Must be able to deploy to support the establishment of new contracts and to ensure compliance of
current contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
5 Years Medical Logistics Manager experience.
Military experience in medical logistics preferred.
SOLE Certified Professional Logistician (CPL), ISM Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM),
APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional certification (CSCP)or similar certification preferred.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to ascend/descend stairs.
Ability to lift up to 75+ lbs.
Able to withstand changing environmental conditions with the weather (rain, lightning, and winds).
Able to withstand and manipulate through construction areas, sports fields, etc.
Ability to stand; particularly for sustained periods of time.
