FLASH FROM THE CHIEF: LGBT Pride Month
To remain ready to fight and win tonight, it is imperative that our NAVSUP team has the right individuals with the right skills in the right places. In support of our mission to provide supplies, services, and quality-of-life support to the Navy and Joint Warfighter, we will build and maintain a workforce comprised of the most capable and qualified Sailors and civilians without regard to ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, class or background.
NAVSUP is committed to fostering an actively inclusive environment that values the diversity of our workforce, one of our greatest strengths. We join our nation in celebrating Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Pride Month and recognizing the outstanding contributions our LGBT teammates continue to make to our mission and our nation.
Established by presidential proclamation in 2000, LGBT Pride Month reminds us to value the dignity of the people around us. I encourage you to spend time celebrating our nation’s and Navy's rich diversity and our enduring effort to respect and uphold the dignity of all.
