Virtual Distinguished Alumni Ceremony honors CAPT (ret) Billy Dodson
CAPT (ret) Billy Dodson, world-renowned conservationist, writer, and wildlife photographer, was named a Navy Supply Corps Foundation 2019 Distinguished Alumni on August 27, 2020 by the Navy Supply Corps Foundation at a virtual ceremony honoring Billy as a Supply Corps officer who has achieved great success beyond his military career. The ceremony celebrated Billy’s achievements during a live Zoom webinar, hosted by Foundation Chair RADM (ret) Mike Lyden, with Guest Speaker RADM Ken Epps, and special guests former Director of DLA, Chief of Supply Corps and Commander of NAVSUP VADM (ret) Al Thompson, former Foundation Chair RADM (ret) Linda Bird, former Foundation Board Member RADM (ret) Steve Maas, RADM (ret) Fenton Priest and Distinguished Alumni Committee Chair and Foundation Distinguished Alumni CAPT (ret) Bud Schiff.
Established in 1989, the Distinguished Alumni Program is one of the Navy Supply Corps Foundation’s hallmark programs as it identifies and recognizes retired and former Navy Supply Corps officers who have gone on to distinguish themselves by obtaining significant success in the public or private sector.
