The Winter issue of The Oakleaf is online NOW!
Dear Navy Supply Corps Foundation Members,

The Winter issue of The Oakleaf is online now!

We have so much to share in this issue as we close out 2020. The pandemic made for a challenging year but, like you, the NSCF has adjusted to the ever-changing environment. Celebrating the Foundation's 50th Anniversary, recent Philadelphia Chapter Presidents reflect on their leadership experiences and RADM (ret) Dan McKinnon brings the Supply Corps 225th Birthday into focus with his essay "Our Supply Corps...Looking Back...Looking Ahead".

In response to your survey feedback, starting on page 6, Transition Committee Chair CDR (ret) Bob Dolan shares his interview with Tom Wolfe, an expert in the field of military-to-civilian career transition and author of Out of Uniform. Bob also shines the spotlight on former Supply Corps Officer, and current chair of the US Veterans employee ambassador group for McCormick & Company, Mr. Alex Gardner in the first part of a series of articles profiling Members' lessons learned during the transitioning process.

Thanks to your submissions, The Oakleaf always includes stories about our Members and their families. In this issue, an article by CAPT (ret) Tiffany Schad catches up with Vintage Oakleaf Club Member CAPT (ret) Kenneth M. Beyer and a conversation with Foundation Scholarship winners Julia and Rachel Sarnowski, daughters of former Supply Corps LT Michael Sarnowski, helps kick off the application season. We also get to know CDR Nick Ulmer, LCDR Dave Couchman and Mr. Devin Wenzel as Volunteer Committee Chair LCDR Adam Gunter introduces us to three of the many volunteers who serve the Supply Corps Community through their work with the Foundation.

Do you have a story or memory to share? Consider writing an article for our Spring Issue! All active, retired, reserve, prior service and family members are encouraged to submit articles, pictures, news and updates to theoakleaf@usnscf.com . Any submissions not included in The Oakleaf due to space limitations may be used on our website and/or social media platforms.

To ensure you never miss an issue of The Oakleaf, keep your contact information current by logging into your account at www.usnscf.com and updating your information now, email or call the Foundation at (706) 354-4111.

Let's celebrate the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021 with the Winter Issue of The OakleafClick here to read it now!
