Congratulations 2020 Volunteer & Chapters-of-the-Year!
The 2020 Volunteer-of-the-Year and the Chapters-of-the-Year selections were named at the Foundation’s 2021 Spring Board of Directors Meeting on May 8th.
The 2020 Volunteer-of-the-Year is LCDR Jose Galvao from the Patuxent River Chapter. Jose is the Wardroom Treasurer for Pax River and established the Pax River Wardroom Mess. He volunteered significant off-duty time to the Foundation throughout the year, totaling over 130 hours. He also served as the Navy Supply Corps Birthday Coordinator and despite COVID, executed a virtual Navy Birthday Celebration with the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home with local veterans.
The 2020 Chapters-of-the-Year are the Mechanicsburg Chapter, Patuxent River Chapter, and Philadelphia Chapter. Each of these Chapters devoted significant time, energy, and passion to serve our Supply Community and further the mission of the Navy Supply Corps Foundation. Congratulations to all!
There are many outstanding volunteers across the Foundation’s 39 Chapters. All Chapters are encouraged to identify exceptional volunteers for the 2021 Volunteer-of-the-Year Award, as well as nominate your Chapter for 2021 Chapter-of-the-Year. The due date for 2021 nominations is April 1, 2022. For more information on the nominating process, please email our Recognition Committee Chair.
