October 2022 ~ NSCF eNewsletter

Dear Fellow Supply Corps Officers and Friends,
We hope you are enjoying the fall season. Please take a few minutes to read the October issue of the Foundation's eNewsletter which includes three important topics related to our Community.

Welcome our newest Supply Corps Officers
Foundation Chairman RADM (ret) Mike Lyden was recently honored to be the guest speaker at the Navy Supply Corps School in Newport, RI for the graduation of the 3rd Battalion--an incredible group of new Supply Officers. Executive Director CAPT (ret) Dan Pionk also attended the ceremony and welcomed each graduate to our Community with a copy of our history book Ready for Sea: The History of the U.S. Navy Supply Corps. This event and others are posted on LinkedIn.

Transitioning with ACP
American Corporate Partners (ACP) is a national nonprofit organization focused on helping veterans, transitioning military members and active-duty military spouses find their next careers through year-long, customized, one-on-one mentorships. ACP provides career counseling and networking opportunities—focusing on meaningful employment opportunities for veterans, and developing long-term career and professional goals. ACP connects vets with professionals participating through their organization’s partnership with ACP.
Currently, five senior Members are Mentors in the ACP Program and many Foundation Members have already benefitted from an enriched transitioning experience with ACP.

Spouse support opportunity
Supply Corps spouses support one another all over the globe though their engagement with a Fun Bunch--groups of spouses associated with Foundation Chapters. Foundation leader Lydia Koh brings years of active duty, civil servant and military spouse support experience to her role as Foundation Spouse Representative. Lydia leads the spousal support effort through local Fun Bunch groups, open to all spouses of active duty, retired and deceased Supply Corps officers, with an emphasis on fun.
