The Oakleaf: Winter issue NOW ONLINE!
The Oakleaf: Winter issue NOW ONLINE!
The Winter issue of The Oakleaf is available online now! Grab a hot drink and enjoy an issue packed with news Around the Corps, as NSCS welcomes new Commanding Officer CAPT Jason Warner, Spouse Representative Lydia Koh tours Starbucks, and CAPT Josh Hill visits California.

In addition to the holidays this month, we also celebrate the Foundation Scholarship Season opening on December 19th! Scholarship Program updates, application tips and additional opportunities for our Supply Family begin on our cover page! On page 12, Transition Chair CDR (ret) Bob Dolan brings Networking into focus and on page 20, Hampton Roads Spouse Leader Amy Ott shares her thoughts on why the NSCF-HR Fun Bunch is so successful!

In this issue, we also shine the spotlight on the newly-reactivated Iberian Peninsula Chapter, learn from LTJG William Clark what it's like Becoming an Ironman in a High Tempo AOR, and find ourselves following CAPT (ret) Donald Hoffman as he explores the history of The Embroidered Supply Oak Leaf Uniform Insignia on page 22.

And thanks to CDR (ret) Chris Webster, CAPT (ret) Eddie Fishburne, CAPT (ret) Anthony Steigelman, and CAPT (ret) Richard Vroman for sharing very personal, sometimes humorous and always interesting memories in our special section: My Supply Corps Story, beginning on page 24.

Each issue of The Oakleaf brings our Community together, as we share old memories, create new ones and celebrate our Members all over the world! What would you like to contribute to The Oakleaf? Active, retired, reserve, former and family members are encouraged to submit articles, pictures, news and updates to theoakleaf@usnscf.com. Please keep submissions limited to 300 words and two images with captions.

As you enjoy this issue, we hope you will consider an end of year donation to the Foundation. Your generosity supports this newsletter and all our programs across the globe. Contributing is easy--donate online!

Happy Holidays and cheers to our fabulous Members showcased in the Winter issue of The Oakleaf!
