NOW ONLINE! The Oakleaf ~ Spring 2023 issue
The Spring issue of The Oakleaf is available online now! In this issue, we kick-off a new fundraising campaign Honor Our Heritage, Invest in Our Future--offering a simple way to support your Supply Community into the future! And, as we do every spring, we thank you, our Members, for your generous donations to the Foundation. A list of Tench Francis Legacy Society Members is on page 7 and Foundation Endowments are listed on page 19. A complete list of 2022 donors begins on page 21. There are so many ways to support the Foundation--thanks for making a difference.

In the Spring issue, we get a glimpse into our Chapters' 228th Supply Corps Birthday celebrations, as photos of the Japan Chapter (page 6) and the Philadelphia Chapter (page 11) grace our pages. On page 9, we shine the spotlight on Member ENS Adam Enbrecht, and on page 12, it's the Philadelphia Chapter that's shining as their enthusiasm and excitement for the Supply Family shows in the varied Chapter events held recently. And our Distinguished Alumni Program is in the forefront on page 8, as we share highlights of Mr. Carl Liebert's recognition ceremony in Newport, RI, where he was honored as our 61st Distinguished Alumnus.

On page 14, CAPT (ret) Donald Hoffman comes through with another treasured lesson in Supply Corps history with The Paymaster Commodore. Of course, no issue would be complete without your Supply Corps stories! Beginning on page 16, we're transported back in time as CAPT (ret) Mark Westin, CAPT (ret) Wallace "Rope" Burns, CDR (ret) Richard Asche, and CAPT (ret) Bob "Zool" Schwaneke share stories from their past. Won't you contribute to our next issue? Send submissions to MySupplyCorpsStory@usnscf.com.

Each issue of The Oakleaf brings our Community together, as we share memories of our past and create new opportunities for future experiences. What would you like to contribute to The Oakleaf? Active, retired, reserve, former and family members are encouraged to submit articles, pictures, news and updates to theoakleaf@usnscf.com. Please keep submissions limited to 300 words and two images with captions.

Remember, membership in the Navy Supply Corps Foundation is free! Encourage all who have ever worn the Oakleaf of the U.S. Navy Supply Corps to register as a Member, or update membership contact information, online now. Enjoy the Spring issue of The Oakleaf!
