Moderated by NSCF Transition Committee Chair CDR (ret) Bob Dolan, this event will be a focused discussion on transitioning to the civilian sector with financial considerations and challenges, featuring Guest Speaker Tom Elliott, founder of @The Prosperity Solutions Group.
Guest Speaker Tom Elliott was born in Arlington, MA. He attended Purdue University on a NROTC scholarship, received his bachelor’s degree and was commissioned in May 1990. Later, Tom received his master’s degree in Information Systems from Florida Institute of Technology. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Supply Corps Officer from 1990 to 2003. He was the Supply Officer of USS HENRY L STIMSON (SSBN 655) (Blue), among other tours, and was warfare qualified in Submarines, Surface, and Aviation.
After transitioning from the Navy to the civilian sector, Tom built and started 10 individual, successful companies in the fields of website services, computer and network support, aviation, real estate, financial coaching, direct sales, travel, and business consulting. He authored the book, Website 411: Business Survival in an Internet Economy, and is the author of Life After Debt™ seminars, webinars, and workshops. He also created The Financial Acumen Course®. Tom currently resides near Mechanicsburg, PA.
